About the Artist

Born in Kent I have always been interested in animals, from the days of going with my father who was a farm manager to tend the livestock on the farm to wandering around the vast expanses of apple orchards and hop fields searching for wildlife in all its forms.

Having this deep passion for wildlife I subsequently spent most of my career working as a zookeeper. My main passion was primat
es, but over the years my career changed to animal record keeping and quarantine management a job that required the same degree to attention to detail as painting.

As a self taught artist I  have successfully exhibiting at the NEWA (National Exhibition of Wildlife Art - UK) and also sold painting at auction to raise much needed funds for wildlife conservation work close to my heart (African wild dog project - Mkomazi Game Reserve, Tanzania & Chimpanzee conservation - Jane Goodall Institute)

In 2013 my wife and I moved to Bulgaria to spend more time together running as self-sufficient a lifestyle as possible, very reminiscent of my childhood. This change in lifestyle has also enabled me to spend more time painting, one of my hobbies that previously lack of time restricted its development.
